MY GAYMER TIPS – Advanced Level Grinding in Ni No
Kuni
As I progress towards end
game, I realized I needed to get my familiars up to snuff in preparation for
the Ni No Kuni’s final challenges.
Having Tengri allowed me to find one of the best places to grind – Billy
Goat’s Bluff. The long winding
passageways through the mountains to the west of Tombstone Trail and Hamelin
are home to some pretty tough familiars and other neat surprises.

The upper trail has a
sparkling resource point at the top (near the monolith) that produces one of
the four Crystals necessary to make the Jumbo-sized drops. The longer lower path is littered with level
3 evolutions of familiars, all of which are reasonably challenging and reward
you with ample experience and Guilders.
The real prizes are the Tokotokos, the evolved version of the Tokos on
Ugly Duckling Isle. Like their cousins,
they’re timid and immediately try to flee from battle, but they’re worth over
9,000 experience points a pop! They show
up with other enemy groups even if they’re not the one walking around on the
map, so make sure you take on everyone!

compiled a list below of what I’ve stolen (note that the listed familiars can
also DROP the items, so you can end up with more than you thought you would).

One of the familiars also
drops Star Crystals, but I haven’t quite pin pointed them yet (I have a feeling
they’re the Thunderbyrds). Anyone else
